The Bulldozing of Detroit

I’ve been pretty fascinated with what’s going on in Detroit the past few years.  Obviously everyone knows that its population is rapidly shrinking, leaving behind thousands of vacant buildings, houses and neighborhoods.  I’m pretty sure you can buy an entire home for under $2,000 in some areas.

There’s been countless ideas and ways suggested to save the city from becoming a ghost town, but this one (to me) is by far the most interesting.  There are talks to bulldoze the outskirts of Detroit, in an effort to literally shrink it.  Some vacant, creepy areas could become fruit trees and vegetable farms and semi-populated neighborhoods could become full again.  Read more about it HERE.
