New iPhone Covers

We’ve had to take an unplanned break from the blog lately, but just thought I’d post a quick little update on some iPhone covers that were recently made featuring my artwork!  All are compatible with 4 & 4S models.  :D

Ten Hairdryers

Pulled from flicker, here’s ten blow dryers:

Carbon Nanotube Speaker

This little speaker is made of carbon nanotubes, and it functions as a thermoacoustic speaker. Whats kind of amazing is, unlike a conventional speaker, it doesn’t have to move to make sound. This speaker makes sound by way of abrupt temperature changes that pressurize the air, sending pressure waves (sound) without actually moving. So, look forward to one day walking through the trade show and picking up a promotional wind-breaker that will play a jingle. Wall paper as our surround sound. Maybe we can even have sound canceling blinds for the city sleeper. The nanotube & graphene era will be an interesting time. This particular speaker is made by the Finnish company, Canatu. Canatu, among others, is working towards commercializing this technology.

Toggles for your lamp cord..

I love these lamps by Vij5, because rather than get in the way, the cord becomes a sculptural element that the owner can control.  Plus, they remind me of the toggles that used to come on old Starter jackets back in the 90′s..  Simple, but brilliant!

The Perfect Tiny Grill (and I’m not talkin’ the teeth kind)

Now that’s it’s officially spring, all I can think of is laying in the park and grilling out!  (Probably because I’m stuck indoors in my studio)

How cute is this portable grill from Klaus Aalto?  Available HERE.

Black Transformer Lights

These pendants are available here.

County Cork Painter’s Studio

Found my little home in Ireland!  It actually looks larger than it is, standing with only about 500 sq/ft, with the stairs, kitchen and bathroom all designed like that of a ship.. tiny and compact.

Leather Shoppers

I know the plastic shopping bag has been used as inspiration for many things the past couple of years (see: Jeremy Scott), but I kinda love this new take on them by Cast of Vices. Called their Corner Store Shoppers, these totes are made from hand stamped leather in Los Angeles.

I’m also loving their silver and gold molded wristbands.

General Curtiss Lemay’s Silver Wing Box

From the Wilson History & Research Center:

“This silver box featuring pilot’s wings belonged to United States Air Force General Curtis Emerson LeMay (1906-1990). LeMay organized the strategic bombing campaign in the Pacific Theater of Operations during WWII (1939-1945), organized the Berlin Airlift (1948) and restructured the Strategic Air Command of the United States.”

I think LeMay had an eye- this box is great. I hope the polish stays away because this patina is beautiful. It’s worth clicking on these photos for a closer look.

Busyman Bicycles

Busyman Bicycles is a Australian based maker of custom leather saddles and grip tape, etc. Nice work!

For the Beer Buying Biker

If I had a bicycle this pretty, I’d always volunteer to do the beer run.. I’d also spend an extra $20 to get this cute 6-pack holder (which is actually a bike polo mallet holder, but who cares?).

Help Japan

Beautifully designed, and such a good cause.  100% of the proceeds go to Red Cross.  Buy it HERE.

Eily ‘O Connell Rings

Really beautiful rings by Eily ‘O Connell, mostly made from glass and enamel.

Amazing Polish Movie Posters

I’ve been kind of obsessing over Polish movie posters recently (see yesterday’s Style Icon), and I can’t stop wondering how Photoshop always wins when there are amazing posters like these being made!  Here are a few of my favorites, although I could post about 100 more.

From the top: The Blues Brothers, The Big Lebowski, The Shining, Fatal Attraction, Eyes Wide Shut, Sunset Boulovard, Rosemary’s Baby, & Gremlins

See more HERE.
